Though I think it's fairer to say you don't choose your fandoms, shows create their own fanatics. In my case I've been totally seduced by season 2 of Sherlock. The second sign of the apocalypse is upon us as well. The BBC have preempted next week's episode of Doctor Who to show the Eurovision Song Contest! *Headdesk*

While I do enjoy Terry Wogan's snark about European politics along with the daftness of the entire spectacle it's not worth posponing Dr Who for.

In honour of the new season of Doctor Who I now have a shiny Tardis icon. Life is good.

It's amazing how just the first bars of the theme music changed the mood of the entire house on Saturday. Anyway I'll put general thoughts here:

I've not seen the BSG season finale yet so I'm still tiptoeing around the internet avoiding spoilers.

On brighter news, THE DR WHO SEASON OPENER IS SHOWING SATURDAY! Woohoo! I'm off to make a Tardis icon 'cos I've a feeling I'm going to need it!

It should be a simple thing, I just want to record the Doctor Who Christmas special so we can freeze-frame the season 3 promo pics and squee in delight over what's coming soon, except that the universe seems to be conspiring to make sure it never happens.
